Hey everyone on here!!

Just wanted your opinion on what you think a "sprig of thyme" is. I've seen it in different recipes on both recipes.net and other websites.

So is it 3, 2, 1 or more????

I'd say it's typically around 3 or 4 small stems ..BUT it can vary depending on the recipe and your taste preferences 😁

Personally, I like to go with a handful to ensure that lovely thyme flavor shines through in my dish! 🌿✨

Ah, a sprig of thyme is a lovely thing! It's a small bunch of fresh thyme stems still attached to the main branch. When you're cooking with thyme, you can pluck off these little sprigs and toss them directly into your dish. 🌿😊

A sprig usually consists of a few inches of the woody stem with multiple tiny, aromatic leaves. Some recipes call for whole sprigs to be added during cooking and removed before serving, while others may require the leaves to be stripped from the stem and finely chopped.

Hey! A "sprig of thyme" is just a small stem of the herb, usually a few inches long. You can use it whole while cooking and remove it later or strip the leaves off for your dish. Hope that helps! 😊
