The vibrant purple açaí berry is a nutritional powerhouse native to the Amazon rainforest. This recipe combines theçaí's rich, berry flavor with the stimulating energy of guarana, another Amazonian ingredient, for a healthy and delicious breakfast or snack bowl.

Ingredients:

    For the Açai Base:
    • 1 cup frozen açai pulp (unsweetened)
    • 1 cup unsweetened plant-based milk (such as almond milk, coconut milk, or oat milk)
    • 1 banana, frozen and chopped
    • 1 tablespoon guarana powder (optional)
  • For the Guarana Granola:
    • 1 cup rolled oats
    • ½ cup chopped nuts (such as almonds, cashews, or peanuts)
    • ¼ cup unsweetened shredded coconut
    • 2 tablespoons guarana powder
    • 1 tablespoon honey
    • 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil
  • For Toppings (optional):
    • Fresh fruit (such as sliced banana, berries, or mango)
    • Granola
    • Chia seeds
    • Hemp seeds
    • Nut butter
Procedure:
  1. Make the Guarana Granola: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large bowl, combine rolled oats, chopped nuts, shredded coconut, guarana powder, honey, and melted coconut oil. Mix well until everything is evenly coated.
  2. Spread the granola mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Let the granola cool completely.
  4. Make the Açai Base: In a blender, combine frozen açai pulp, plant-based milk, frozen banana, and guarana powder (if using). Blend until smooth and creamy. You may need to add more plant-based milk depending on the desired consistency.
  5. Assemble the Açai Bowl: Pour the açai base into a bowl. Top with guarana granola, fresh fruit, additional granola, chia seeds, hemp seeds, nut butter, or any other desired toppings.
  6. Enjoy your delicious and nutritious Açai Bowl with Guarana Granola!
