Topping Tips:
If you’re feeling a little wild and crazy, kick this easy cookie recipe up a notch or five! Here are some topping ideas to really bring it all to the next level.
Crushed nuts complement the chocolate: try adding nuts to the dipping chocolate before refrigerating. For a sweet and salty twist, try peanuts. You can also add walnuts and pecans for that nutty, earthy taste in each bite.
Pulverize dried strawberries to create a course powder and sprinkle on the chocolate coating before refrigerating.
Thanksgiving is the start of the holiday season, and what’s more appropriate than cinnamon? Sprinkle a little cinnamon and sugar on top of the chocolate prior to refrigerating for a comforting, holiday-inspired bite.
If this chocolate chip cookie dough isn’t sweet enough for you, which is totally fair, finely chop up candies such as Reeses, Snickers, and/or Kit Kats. Sprinkle these pieces onto the chocolate coating before refrigerating. Candy on cookies!? Hell. Yeah.
