Ingredients:

For the cauliflower:

  • 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Cooking spray (if baking) or oil for frying
For the Bang Bang sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt to taste
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C) if baking the cauliflower, or heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot for frying.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to make the batter.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, shaking off any excess, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper if baking, or on a plate if frying.
  4. If baking, lightly spray the battered cauliflower with cooking spray. If frying, carefully place the battered cauliflower into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the Bang Bang sauce until smooth.
  6. Toss the baked or fried cauliflower in the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Serve the Bang Bang Cauliflower immediately as a tasty appetizer or side dish.
