- 1 large head of cauliflower, cut into florets
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Cooking spray (if baking) or oil for frying
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt to taste
- Preheat your oven to 425Β°F (220Β°C) if baking the cauliflower, or heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot for frying.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, water, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to make the batter.
- Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, shaking off any excess, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper if baking, or on a plate if frying.
- If baking, lightly spray the battered cauliflower with cooking spray. If frying, carefully place the battered cauliflower into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and place on paper towels to drain excess oil.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together all the ingredients for the Bang Bang sauce until smooth.
- Toss the baked or fried cauliflower in the Bang Bang sauce until evenly coated.
- Serve the Bang Bang Cauliflower immediately as a tasty appetizer or side dish.
