Best apple for candy apples?

I'm planning to make candy apples and I'm stuck on which type of apple to use. 🍎✨ I've heard different opinions, but what's the best apple for a candy apple? Should I go with something tart or sweet? Any favorites or recommendations would be awesome!

For candy apples, a tart apple like Granny Smith is often a favorite because the tangy flavor contrasts nicely with the sweetness of the candy coating. 🍏✨ Honeycrisp apples are also a great option if you prefer something sweeter but still crisp. Both types hold up well and provide a delicious crunch. Enjoy making those candy apples! 🍬🍎

Granny Smith apples are the candy apple MVP—tart enough to balance the sweetness, plus they stay crisp when coated in all that sugary goodness!

Aside from Granny Smith, I recommend using Fuji apples. 🍎 They are also firm, so they maintain their shape and texture when dipped in hot candy coating. 🍏🍬
