The BLT (Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato) is a classic combination beloved for its simple yet delicious flavors. Transforming this iconic sandwich into a pasta salad brings a refreshing twist perfect for potlucks, picnics, or a light meal at home.


Ingredients:
- 12 ounces rotini or bowtie pasta
- 1 pound bacon
- 2 cups cherry tomatoes, halved
- 2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped chives or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Boil the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.
- Prepare the Bacon:
- Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and place on paper towels to drain excess fat. Once cooled, crumble the bacon into bite-sized pieces.
- Make the Dressing:
- In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sour cream, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth and well combined.
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a large bowl, mix the cooked pasta, crumbled bacon, cherry tomatoes, chopped romaine lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, and finely chopped red onion.
- Add Dressing:
- Pour the dressing over the pasta mixture and toss gently to coat all ingredients evenly.
- Chill and Serve:
