Ingredients:
  • 4 pounds brisket point (the thicker end of the brisket)
  • 1/4 cup BBQ rub
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
  1. Prep the Brisket:
    • Trim the excess fat from the brisket point.
    • Rub the BBQ rub all over the brisket, making sure it's evenly coated.
  2. Smoke the Brisket:
    • Preheat your smoker to 225°F (110°C).
    • Place the brisket on the smoker grate.
    • Smoke for about 6-8 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 195°F (90°C).
  3. Rest and Cut:
    • Remove the brisket from the smoker and let it rest for 30 minutes.
    • Cut the brisket into 1-inch cubes.
  4. Sauce and Season:
    • In a large bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, brown sugar, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, and butter.
    • Toss the brisket cubes in the sauce mixture until well coated.
  5. Final Smoke:
    • Increase the smoker temperature to 275°F (135°C).
    • Place the sauced brisket cubes back on the smoker.
    • Smoke for another 1-2 hours, or until the edges are caramelized and the cubes are tender.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:
    • Remove the burnt ends from the smoker.
    • Let them cool slightly before serving.
