Can I eat elote without chili powder?

So, got a question about elote. Can you enjoy this corn delight minus chili powder? I mean, not all of us dig that spice kick. Would ditching chili still leave elote tasty, or does that mess with its soul? Curious if anyone else skips the spice and still loves it.

I tried elote without chili powder once because my kids don't like spicy stuff. It was still super tasty! The mix of mayo, cheese, and lime is delicious on its own.
