Can I make apple bread with whole wheat?

Hi everyone! I'm curious about trying something new with my apple bread recipe. Do you think it's possible to make it using whole wheat flour? I'd love to hear if anyone has given it a shot and how it turned out! Thanks for sharing your experiences!

In my experience, you can usually substitute all-purpose flour for whole wheat flour in a 1:1 ratio for apple bread. Though, the texture might be slightly denser. If you want it to be lighter, you can try using half whole wheat flour and half all-purpose flour.

I’ve done it before and it turned out great! I think adding a bit more liquid helps though, as whole wheat flour absorbs more.

Absolutely! Whole wheat works great for apple bread. It adds a nice nutty flavor and extra fiber.
