Christmas Sweet Cones Question – Advice Needed!

Hey everyone!

I’m planning to make Christmas sweet cones this year as little holiday treats for friends and family, but I could use some advice. Has anyone made these before? I’m wondering what the best sweets to include are—anything festive or wintery you’d recommend?

Also, any tips on the best way to package them so they stay fresh and look cute? Should I go with cellophane and ribbons, or is there a better way?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

I’ve made Christmas sweet cones a couple of times for kids’ parties and family get-togethers, and they always go down a treat. For the filling, I’d say mix a few “wintery” touches in with the classics: candy canes (mini ones fit perfectly), red/green M&Ms, chocolate coins, marshmallows, maybe some white chocolate buttons to give it a “snowy” look. If you want to get fancy, you can layer the sweets so it looks a bit like a Christmas tree inside the cone.
For packaging, clear cellophane cones are definitely the way to go. Tie them off with a festive ribbon (red, gold or tartan always works), and if you’re worried about freshness, add a little twist-tie under the ribbon so it’s properly sealed. Some people even pop a little sticker or tag on with a holiday message, which makes them look more thoughtful and gift-ready.
