- 1 head of romaine lettuce, washed and chopped
- 1/2 cup Caesar salad dressing (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup croutons
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Optional: grilled chicken or shrimp for added protein
- In a large mixing bowl, add the chopped romaine lettuce.
- Drizzle the Caesar salad dressing over the lettuce, starting with about half of the dressing.
- Toss the lettuce with the dressing until evenly coated. Add more dressing as needed to achieve your desired level of creaminess.
- Sprinkle the croutons over the dressed lettuce.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese on top of the salad.
- Finish with a sprinkle of freshly ground black pepper for added flavor.
- Optionally, top the salad with grilled chicken or shrimp for a heartier meal.
- Gently toss everything together until the salad ingredients are evenly distributed.
- Serve the Classic Caesar Salad immediately as a side dish or a light meal.
