- 2 slices of ham
- 2 slices of bacon, cooked
- 2 slices of cheddar or Swiss cheese
- 2-3 slices of tomato
- Lettuce leaves
- Mayonnaise
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Pickles or potato chips for serving (optional)
- Toast the Bread: Lightly toast the three slices of bread until golden brown.
- Assemble the First Layer: Spread mayonnaise on one side of the first slice of toast. Layer on the turkey or chicken, followed by a slice of cheese and a piece of lettuce.
- Add the Second Layer: Place the second slice of toast on top of the first layer, spread mayonnaise on top, then add the ham, bacon, tomato slices, and another piece of lettuce. Season with salt and pepper.
- Top It Off: Place the final slice of toast on top to complete the sandwich.
