Ingredients:
- 1 package (6 oz) raspberry or cranberry gelatin
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 can (14 oz) whole berry cranberry sauce
- 1 can (20 oz) crushed pineapple, drained
- 1 apple, peeled, cored, and diced
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 cup cold water
Instructions:
- Dissolve the Gelatin:
- In a large bowl, dissolve the gelatin in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved.
- Add Cold Ingredients:
- Stir in the cranberry sauce, mixing well to break it up.
- Add the drained crushed pineapple, diced apple, and chopped nuts.
- Pour in 1 cup of cold water and mix everything thoroughly.
- Set the Salad:
- Pour the mixture into a mold or a serving dish.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until firm.
- Serve:
- Once set, you can unmold the salad onto a serving platter or serve directly from the dish.
- Optionally, garnish with whipped cream or extra nuts on top.
