Garlic power!
Ingredients:
- 8 oz (225g) pasta (like fettuccine or penne)
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (50g) grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Optional: red pepper flakes (for a bit of heat)
Instructions:
- Cook the Pasta:
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1/2 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Make the Garlic Cream Sauce:
- In a large skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
- Add Cream and Cheese:
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese, mixing until melted and smooth. If the sauce is too thick, add a little reserved pasta water to reach your desired consistency.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce:
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to coat it in the creamy sauce. Season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
- Serve:
- Serve immediately, garnished with additional Parmesan and chopped parsley.
