I'm exploring vegan options and wondering, is there a tasty substitute for carne asada in tacos that still packs a flavor punch?

There are a few options that work great ..Marinated mushrooms or jackfruit can both get that shredded meaty texture, and lentil crumbles are awesome too 
They all take on the taco flavors beautifully!
could work great! Though they're not exactly the same, they offer a meaty texture and absorb flavors well.
