Do you use cornstarch or flour for gravy?

Hey there!! I'm having a dilemma and needing some help.:( When making batch of gravy, which one do you use flour or cornstarch? I've tried both ingredients, but I can't seem to settle on one. Flour gives thickness, while cornstarch brings smoothness. Got different merits, right? What's your take on this?

Personally, I prefer using flour for my gravy because I like the thickness it adds. But it really depends on your preference and the texture you're aiming for. Give both a try and see which one suits your taste buds best! 🍲👩‍🍳

Sometimes I use both! Flour for the initial roux and cornstarch at the end if it needs more thickening. It might sound odd, though it works great! 😋
