Does Kung Pao chicken taste anything like sweet and sour chicken?

I've been pondering whether Kung Pao chicken tastes similar to sweet and sour chicken, or if they're entirely different flavor profiles. Has anyone here tried both dishes and can offer a comparison? I'm curious to see how these popular dishes stack up against each other!

Kung Pao chicken and sweet and sour chicken have very different flavor profiles! Kung Pao is savory and spicy with a hint of sweetness, while sweet and sour chicken leans more towards tangy and sweet. Both are delicious but definitely distinct!
