Hi there foodies! 🥒🍽️ I just heard about this recently. Does our favorite tzatziki contain gelatin?? 🤔I literally just found out about this morning! Some recipes seem to thicken up nicely without it, but others have a slightly different texture. 🤷‍♀️💭 Does the original recipe always have this? Or is it okay to not have it? This got me confused!

Traditionally, tzatziki doesn't need gelatin! 🙅‍♀️ Greek yogurt naturally thickens the sauce a bit ..Some recipes might use it for extra body, but it's definitely not required. You can totally enjoy delicious tzatziki without it! ;)(y)

Tzatziki is actually traditionally made without gelatin. The creamy texture usually comes from strained yogurt or sometimes sour cream, mixed with cucumber, garlic, salt, olive oil, and sometimes lemon juice or vinegar. Gelatin isn't a common ingredient in authentic tzatziki recipes. 😉👌✨👍
