Easy Vermicelli Rice

Hey everyone! 🍚 If you’re looking for a quick and flavorful side dish, this vermicelli rice is perfect! It’s light, fluffy, and goes great with just about any meal. Super easy to make too!

Ingredients:
  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • 1/4 cup vermicelli pasta
  • 2 tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 2 cups water or chicken broth
  • Salt to taste
Instructions:
  1. Rinse the Rice: Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toast the Vermicelli: In a medium pot, melt the butter or heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the vermicelli pasta and sauté, stirring frequently, until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).
  3. Add Rice: Stir in the rinsed rice and cook for another minute, coating the rice in the butter and toasting lightly.
  4. Add Water/Broth: Pour in the water or broth, season with salt, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and all the liquid is absorbed.
  5. Fluff and Serve: Remove from heat, fluff the rice with a fork, and serve warm.
Perfect with grilled meats, stews, or curries!
