Hey everyone, I just want to share with you this amazing recipe for homemade focaccia! 🥖 It's fluffy, flavorful, and perfect for sharing with friends and family. Let's get baking! 🍞✨

Ingredients:
  • 500g (about 4 cups) all-purpose flour

  • 2 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 1/2 cups warm water
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (plus more for drizzling)
  • Toppings of your choice (rosemary, olives, cherry tomatoes, etc.)
Instructions:
  1. In a small bowl, combine the warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture and olive oil.
  3. Stir until a dough forms, then knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Punch down the risen dough and transfer it to a lightly oiled baking sheet.
  6. Gently stretch and press the dough into a rectangle or oval shape, about 1 inch thick.
  7. Using your fingers, make indentations all over the surface of the dough.
  8. Drizzle the top of the dough with olive oil and sprinkle with your choice of toppings.
  9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the focaccia is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
  10. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before slicing and serving.
