Are you sure you are craving a dessert more than 30 min? This new thing that is definitely foreign to you might be the Ghorayeba (also known as ghraybeh) which is a traditional Arabic sweet. It’s a simple dessert with only three ingredients and pistachios are its most popular topping. Some recipes use ghee or clarified butter as ingredients. Both will work here. If you are a shortbread aficionado, you are going to absolutely love this magnificent cookie.

Ingredients:
Instructions:

Ingredients:
- 2 sticks (1 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- cup powdered sugar
- 2 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- Slivered pistachios (for topping)
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy (about 4-5 minutes).
- Gradually add the flour in two parts, mixing with a spatula. If the dough seems too dry, add water 1 tablespoon at a time until it holds together when pinched.
- Shape the dough into a disk, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Take 1 tablespoon of dough, roll it into a ball with your hands, and place it on the baking sheet. Press a slivered pistachio into the top of each dough ball.
- Bake the cookies for about 12 minutes, rotating the baking sheets halfway through baking, until they've slightly expanded and the bottoms are light golden.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 15 minutes, then transfer them to a plate.
- Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days.
