Looking for a way to keep your kids Busy with you during the weekends?? How about trying this recipe from my Granny and the good thing about it? Ask your kids for help.... They'll probably enjoy messing around with this and Enjoy the results after..... Don't mind the mess after though.. Lol!
This recipe can Serve 12 persons(You can Adjust accordingly):
Here's a simple recipe for it....
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling)
- In a medium bowl, whisk together cocoa powder, granulated sugar, and vegetable oil.
- Beat in eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet mixture, stirring until well combined. The dough will be sticky.
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Scoop out tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll into balls. Roll each ball in powdered sugar until well coated.
- Place the coated balls on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies have crinkled and set.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
