Greek turkey meatballs are a delightful and healthier twist on the classic. They’re moist, tender, and easy to make.

Ingredients:

Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground turkey
- ⅓ cup Italian breadcrumbs
- ¼ cup diced red onion
- 2 large egg yolks
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon ground cumin
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly oil a 9x13 baking dish or coat it with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, onion, egg yolks, minced garlic, lemon zest, oregano, cumin, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Roll the mixture into 1¼-to-1½-inch meatballs, forming about 18-20 meatballs.
- Place the meatballs in the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until golden and crispy on the outside.
- While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a small bowl, combine Greek yogurt, diced cucumber, pressed garlic, dill, lemon juice, lemon zest, mint (if using), salt, and pepper. Drizzle with olive oil and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Serve the meatballs drizzled with the tzatziki sauce.
