Ingredients:

  • Fresh oysters in their shells
  • Butter (softened)
  • Minced garlic
  • Lemon wedges
  • Chopped parsley (optional)
  • Hot sauce (optional)
  • Rock salt (for serving)
Instructions:

  1. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Scrub the oysters under cold running water to remove any dirt or debris from the shells.
  3. Using an oyster knife, carefully shuck the oysters, discarding the top shell and loosening the oyster from the bottom shell.
  4. In a small bowl, mix together softened butter and minced garlic. You can also add a splash of hot sauce for extra flavor if desired.
  5. Place the shucked oysters on the grill, flat side down, and cook for about 2-3 minutes until they start to bubble and the edges curl slightly.
  6. Carefully spoon a small amount of the garlic butter mixture onto each oyster.
  7. Close the grill lid and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, or until the oysters are cooked through and the butter is melted and bubbly.
  8. Using tongs, carefully remove the grilled oysters from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter.
  9. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately with lemon wedges and a side of rock salt for dipping.
  10. Enjoy your delicious grilled oysters as an appetizer or main course!

This is a step-up ingredient for grilled oysters. Definitely would try this, thanks for sharing.

I've always preferred grilled oyster rather than eating it as raw. Although I haven't really tried grilling on my own, I think I can start making it using this recipe. thanks

Love grilling oysters! I usually either do a Rockefeller sauce or Drago’s NOLA style charbroiled oysters, which is essentially butter, garlic, and Asiago cheese. Delish ଘ(੭˃ᴗ˂)੭
