Enjoy Chicken Even More!
Ingredients:
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon minced ginger
- 1/4 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
- Sliced green onions for garnish
Instructions:
- Prepare the Chicken:
- In a bowl, toss the chicken pieces with cornstarch until well coated.
- Cook the Chicken:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken pieces to the skillet and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Sauce:
- In the same skillet, add garlic and ginger. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Stir in soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), rice vinegar, sesame oil, and water. Cook for another 2 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Combine Chicken and Sauce:
- Return the cooked chicken to the skillet with the sauce. Toss until the chicken is well coated.
- Serve:
- Transfer the sesame chicken to a serving plate.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds and sliced green onions on top for garnish.
- Serve with your choice of steamed vegetables or brown rice for a complete meal.
