New baker seeking assistance! 🥧😟 I could use some help here – my pie crust turned out chewy, and I'm at a loss! 🤷‍♀️💭 Any thoughts on what might have caused this? I'd appreciate your help in diagnosing the issue and finding ways to prevent it in my future baking endeavors. Your guidance and suggestions would be highly valued! 🙏
 
Hi @byang05 Perhaps your oven temperature is too high, causing the crust to cook too quickly and become tough. 🔥 Consider lowering the temperature and covering the edges with foil to prevent over-browning.
 
A chewy pie crust could result from overmixing the dough, using too much liquid, or not baking it for a sufficient amount of time, causing the crust to remain undercooked.
