Hey everyone,
I wanted to share my go-to recipe for a simple yet incredibly delicious homemade Alfredo sauce. It's so much creamier and flavorful than anything from a jar!

I wanted to share my go-to recipe for a simple yet incredibly delicious homemade Alfredo sauce. It's so much creamier and flavorful than anything from a jar!
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Romano cheese (optional)
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
- Stir in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Reduce heat to low and gradually whisk in Parmesan and Romano cheese (if using) until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- For a richer flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese instead of pre-grated.
- If the sauce seems too thick, thin it out with a tablespoon or two of pasta water.
- Feel free to add a pinch of nutmeg or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
