Ingredients:
- 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Your favorite toppings (pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, olives, etc.)
- Olive oil, for brushing
- Cornmeal, for dusting
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it preheats.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface to your desired thickness. If you like a thin crust, roll it out thinner; if you prefer a thicker crust, leave it a bit thicker.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a pizza peel or a lightly floured cutting board dusted with cornmeal. This will make it easier to transfer to the oven later.
- Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese over the sauce, followed by your desired toppings.
- Finish off with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese for an extra flavor boost.
- Lightly brush the exposed edges of the crust with olive oil to help them brown nicely in the oven.
- Carefully transfer the pizza to the preheated oven, either directly onto the pizza stone or onto a baking sheet if you don't have a stone.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Once done, remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a minute or two before slicing.
