Hey everyone! I wanted to share my go-to Pork and Beans recipeāitās hearty, flavorful, and way better than the canned stuff. Perfect for a cozy dinner or meal prep! Let me know if you try it. 
Who else makes their own pork and beans instead of buying canned? Would love to hear your tweaks! 

Ingredients:
- 1 lb pork belly (or pork shoulder), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 cups cooked navy beans (or canned, drained)
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tbsp brown sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp smoked paprika (adds that nice depth of flavor!)
- Ā½ tsp black pepper
- Ā½ tsp salt (adjust as needed)
- 1 cup chicken broth (or water)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
Instructions:
- Heat oil in a pot over medium heat. SautƩ onion and garlic until fragrant.
- Add pork and cook until browned on all sides.
- Stir in tomato paste, tomato sauce, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Pour in the broth, add the bay leaf, and let it simmer for about 45 minutes to an hour, or until the pork is tender. (Add more liquid if needed!)
- Toss in the cooked beans, stir, and let everything simmer for another 10-15 minutes.
- Adjust seasoning to taste, remove the bay leaf, and serve warm.
