- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Sesame seeds and chopped green onions for garnish (optional)
- In a bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, olive oil, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, ground ginger, salt, and pepper.
- Place chicken breasts in a shallow dish or resealable plastic bag, and pour the marinade over them, ensuring the chicken is well coated.
- Marinate the chicken in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or ideally up to 4 hours.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Heat a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned.
- Pour any remaining marinade over the chicken in the skillet.
- Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired, before serving.
