- 4 hotdogs
- 4 hotdog buns

- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon honey

- Salt and pepper to taste
- Prep the Toppings: In a small bowl, mix together the ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise, honey, and hot sauce. This gives the ketchup a bit more depth and flavor. Set aside.
- Cook the Hotdogs: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the butter. Once melted, add the hotdogs. Cook them until they are nicely browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
- Toast the Buns: While the hotdogs are cooking, you can toast the buns. You can either place them in the same skillet for a minute or two until they are slightly crispy, or pop them in a toaster oven.
- Assemble the Hotdogs:
- Place the cooked hotdogs in the toasted buns.
- Drizzle the ketchup mixture generously over the hotdogs.
- Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top, followed by the chopped onions and pickles.
- Add a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve: Serve immediately while they are nice and hot! These go great with some crispy fries or a simple side salad.
