When I host parties, I want to serve my guests something innovative, especially when it comes to desserts. 🎉🍰 One of my best finds is Boozy Tiramisu Cups. Here's the recipe in case you want to try them:

Ingredients:

  • For the Coffee Mixture:
    • 1 cup strong brewed coffee (cooled)
    • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlúa)
    • 2 tablespoons dark rum (optional, for extra depth)
  • For the Mascarpone Cream:
    • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 tablespoon coffee liqueur (optional, for flavor boost)
  • For Assembly:
    • 1 package of ladyfingers (about 24)
    • Cocoa powder (for dusting)
    • Dark chocolate shavings (optional, for garnish)
    • Ground cinnamon (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Coffee Mixture:
  • In a shallow bowl, combine the brewed coffee, coffee liqueur, and dark rum (if using). Stir well to combine. Set aside to cool.
2. Make the Mascarpone Cream:
  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • Gently fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture until fully combined, being careful not to deflate the cream. If you want an extra boozy kick, stir in a tablespoon of coffee liqueur.
3. Assemble the Tiramisu Cups:
  • Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture, making sure not to soak them for too long (just a quick dip to avoid sogginess).
  • Layer the soaked ladyfingers at the bottom of individual serving cups (such as small glass jars or dessert glasses).
  • Spoon a layer of mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers, smoothing it out with the back of a spoon.
  • Repeat the layers (ladyfingers, cream) until you fill the cups, finishing with a layer of mascarpone cream on top.
4. Chill and Garnish:
  • Cover the cups with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight, to let the flavors meld together.
  • Before serving, dust the top of each tiramisu cup with cocoa powder and garnish with dark chocolate shavings or a sprinkle of ground cinnamon for an extra touch of elegance.

Why It’s Perfect for an Adult Party:

  • Boozy Twist: The coffee liqueur and rum add an adult flair to this classic dessert, making it perfect for a sophisticated crowd.
  • Individual Portions: Serving in individual cups or jars makes it easy for guests to grab a portion, and the presentation is elegant.
  • Decadent & Indulgent: The rich mascarpone cream paired with coffee-soaked ladyfingers is a luxurious dessert that will impress your guests.

Conclusion: This twist on the classic Italian dessert incorporates coffee liqueur and rum to elevate the flavors, making it fun for grown-ups. 🍰🍷
