  • 4 ounces boneless chicken breast or thigh, diced
  • 1 carrot, diced
  • 1 cup cabbage, shredded
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
  • 1 teaspoon shrimp paste (terasi), optional
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Sliced cucumber and tomato, for garnish
  • Fried shallots, for garnish
  • Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions:
  1. Heat the Oil:
    • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
  2. Sauté Aromatics:
    • Add minced garlic, chopped onion, and chopped red chili (if using) to the skillet. Sauté until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
  3. Add Protein and Vegetables:
    • Add diced chicken and shrimp to the skillet. Cook until the chicken is no longer pink and the shrimp are pink and opaque.
    • Stir in diced carrot and shredded cabbage. Cook until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
