For the Pizza Dough:
- 1 package (2 1/4 teaspoons) active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 cups cooked rice (preferably day-old)
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 cup cooked chicken, diced
- 1 cup cooked shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 cup mixed vegetables (such as carrots, peas, and bell peppers)
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon kecap manis (Indonesian sweet soy sauce)
- 1 teaspoon sambal oelek or chili paste (adjust to taste)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Tomato sauce
- Shredded mozzarella cheese
- Sliced bell peppers
- Sliced red onion
- Sliced mushrooms
- Sliced pineapple (optional)
- Sliced green onions, for garnish
- Prepare the pizza dough. In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, and mix until a dough forms.
- Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours, or until doubled in size.
- While the dough is rising, prepare the Nasi Goreng topping. In a large skillet or wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the beaten eggs and scramble until cooked through. Remove the eggs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add a bit more oil if needed and sauté the chopped onion, garlic, and grated ginger until fragrant.
- Add the diced chicken, shrimp, and mixed vegetables to the skillet, and cook until heated through.
- Stir in the cooked rice, soy sauce, kecap manis, and sambal oelek or chili paste. Cook, stirring constantly, until the rice is well coated and heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). Roll out the pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into your desired shape and thickness.
- Place the rolled-out dough on a pizza pan or baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread a layer of tomato sauce over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Spoon the Nasi Goreng topping over the tomato sauce, spreading it out evenly. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese and your favorite pizza toppings, such as sliced bell peppers, red onion, mushrooms, and pineapple.
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is bubbly and melted.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve hot.
