Is Corn Chowder The Same To Clam Chowder?

Chowder champions! I've been mulling over this: Is corn chowder basically the veggie cousin of clam chowder, or are they in totally different leagues? Both are delicious, but I'm curious about what really sets them apart besides the obvious. What's your take on this creamy soup showdown?

Totally @ChocoJay , I must say I absolutely agree with you! The sweet taste of the corn chowder is nothing other than heaven, while the clam chowder's all about the clams' shrimpy vibe. Although quite different, they're both cool in their own ways!
