Kakuni is a delicious Japanese dish featuring tender, braised pork belly in a savory-sweet sauce. Slow-cooked to perfection, the pork becomes melt-in-your-mouth tender, with flavors deeply infused from a rich blend of soy sauce, sugar, and sake. It’s a comforting and flavorful dish that’s perfect for a special meal or when you want to impress your guests.

🍲 **Ingredients**:
- 500g pork belly, cut into cubes
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup sake
- 1/4 cup mirin
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, crushed

🍖 **Instructions**:
1. In a pot, sear the pork belly cubes on all sides until browned.
2. Add soy sauce, sake, mirin, sugar, and water to the pot.
3. Stir in green onions, ginger, and garlic.
4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until the pork is tender and the sauce has thickened.
5. Serve hot, and enjoy the rich, melt-in-your-mouth flavor of Kakuni!
