Hey everyone! Today, I want to share with you my recipe for Kateh, a simple and delicious Persian rice dish. It's incredibly easy to make and perfect for any meal. Let's get started and enjoy this fragrant rice together!

Kateh Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups long-grain white rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter or oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:

  1. Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear. This helps to remove excess starch.
  2. In a medium-sized pot, add the rinsed rice, water, butter or oil, and salt. Stir to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, and let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes, or until all the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.
  4. Turn off the heat and let the rice sit, covered, for another 10 minutes to allow it to steam.
  5. Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
  6. Serve hot and enjoy!
