Enjoy this flavorful Khao Kha Moo with friends and family! Perfect for a cozy dinner at home. 


- 2 lbs pork leg or hock
- 6 cups water
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup oyster sauce
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tbsp black soy sauce
- 5 cloves garlic, crushed
- 5 slices ginger
- 2 star anise
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4-5 hard-boiled eggs, peeled (optional)
- Cooked jasmine rice and pickled mustard greens, to serve

- In a large pot, combine water, soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, black soy sauce, garlic, ginger, star anise, and cinnamon sticks. Bring to a boil.
- Add the pork leg or hock to the pot. Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 2.5 to 3 hours or until pork is tender and falls off the bone.
- Remove pork from the pot and slice into bite-sized pieces. Strain and reserve the broth.
- To serve, place a serving of cooked jasmine rice in a bowl, top with slices of pork, and ladle some of the broth over the rice. Add hard-boiled eggs and pickled mustard greens on the side.
