- 1 large bunch kale, washed and thoroughly dried
- 2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1โ2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1โ4 tsp cayenne pepper (optional for a kick)
- Sea salt to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 275ยฐF and line a couple baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- Remove the thick stems from the kale and tear the leaves into bite-sized pieces directly onto the baking sheets. Try to keep them in a single layer without overcrowding.
- Drizzle the kale with olive oil and use your hands to massage and evenly coat all those leafy greens.
- Now it's time to get your seasoning game on! Sprinkle the garlic powder, smoked paprika, cayenne (if using), and a good pinch of salt all over the oiled kale.
- Use your hands to toss and coat the kale again, making sure no leaf gets left behind in the flavor department.
- Pop those trays into the oven and bake for 20 minutes, rotating the pans halfway through. Keep a close eye toward the end to prevent burning.
- Once the kale is crispy and you can smell those spices, remove from oven and let cool for 2-3 minutes. The chips will crisp up even more as they cool.
- Transfer to a bowl and get munching! Feel free to add extra seasoning if you want to amp up the flavors even more.
