Ingredients
- ¼ cup poppy seeds
- ¼ cup milk
- 1 (15.25 ounce) package lemon cake mix
- 1 (3.4 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 1 cup water
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 4 large eggs
Directions
- Soak the poppy seeds: In a small bowl, combine the poppy seeds and milk. Let them soak for about 2 hours.
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan to prevent sticking.
- Prepare the batter: In a large bowl, mix together the lemon cake mix and instant vanilla pudding mix. Make a well in the center and add the water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat with an electric mixer on low speed until blended. Increase the speed to medium and beat for 4 minutes.
- Combine: Stir in the soaked poppy seeds and milk mixture until well combined.
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared Bundt pan. Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Cool: Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
