Ingredients:
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice (about 8-10 limes)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 cups cold water
  • Ice cubes
  • Lime slices, for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Instructions:
  1. In a small saucepan, combine the granulated sugar with 1 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the sugar is completely dissolved. This creates a simple syrup. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lime juice with the simple syrup.
  3. Add the remaining 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher and stir to combine. Taste and adjust the sweetness or tartness by adding more sugar or lime juice if desired.
  4. Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the limeade over the ice.
  5. Garnish each glass with a slice of lime and a sprig of fresh mint, if desired.
  6. Stir well before serving.
  7. Enjoy your refreshing homemade limeade!
Feel free to customize your limeade by adding sparkling water for a fizzy version or blending in some fresh fruits like strawberries or raspberries for a fruity twist. Cheers! 🍹🍈

For the perfect limeade, I find using freshly squeezed limes makes all the difference! How do you like to sweeten yours—simple syrup or honey?
