- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon ginger (minced)
- 1 green onion (chopped)
- 1 tablespoon rice wine (optional)
- Black pepper to taste
For the Egg Batter:
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon flour
- Pinch of salt
For Cooking:
- Vegetable oil (for frying)
Instructions
1. Marinate the Beef:
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, ginger, green onion, rice wine (if using), and black pepper.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
- Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but preferably overnight for the best flavor.
2. Prepare the Egg Batter:
- In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
- Add a tablespoon of flour and a pinch of salt to the eggs, and mix until well combined.
3. Coat and Fry the Beef:
- Heat a generous amount of vegetable oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Dip each piece of marinated beef into the egg batter, ensuring it's fully coated.
- Carefully place the coated beef into the hot oil.
- Fry until golden brown on both sides, approximately 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
4. Serve:
- Slice the meat jun into bite-sized pieces.
