  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon shrimp paste
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

  • Fresh vegetables (cucumber, carrots, cabbage, green beans, etc.)
  • Sticky rice or jasmine rice

🍅 Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Chili Paste:

  2. Cook the Pork:
    • Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium heat. Add the prepared chili paste and stir-fry until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.

    • Add fish sauce and sugar. Stir well to combine. Adjust seasoning to taste.
  4. Simmer:
    • Let the mixture simmer for another 5-10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it reaches a thick, dip-like consistency.
  5. Garnish and Serve:
    • Transfer Nam Prik Ong to a serving bowl. Garnish with fresh cilantro.
