Whether you serve them as a snack, appetizer, or side dish, they're sure to be a hit with the whole family!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly grease with cooking spray.
2. Steam the broccoli florets until tender, about 5-7 minutes. Drain well and let cool slightly.
3. Once the broccoli has cooled, finely chop it into small pieces.
4. In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped broccoli, shredded cheddar cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
5. Crack the egg into the bowl and mix until all ingredients are well combined.
6. Using your hands, shape the mixture into small tots or cylindrical shapes.
7. Place the tots on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them apart.
8. Lightly spray the tots with cooking spray to help them crisp up in the oven.
9. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the tots are golden brown and crispy, flipping halfway through to ensure even browning.
10. Once baked, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.
11. Serve your Oven Baked Vegetables – Broccoli Tots hot with your favorite dipping sauce or enjoy them on their own as a tasty snack or side dish!
