So Yummy! Try my classic recipe

Ingredients:
- 2 medium cucumbers, thinly sliced
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 2 cloves garlic, smashed (optional)
- 1 teaspoon whole black peppercorns
- 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon dill seeds
- 1 bay leaf
- Optional: red pepper flakes for heat, fresh dill for added flavor
Instructions:
- In a small saucepan, combine water, vinegar, sugar, salt, garlic, peppercorns, mustard seeds, dill seeds, and bay leaf. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- Place the thinly sliced cucumbers in a clean glass jar or container.
- Pour the warm pickling liquid over the cucumbers, making sure they are completely submerged.
- Optional: Add red pepper flakes or fresh dill to the jar for added flavor.
- Let the pickled cucumbers cool to room temperature, then cover the jar or container and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to develop.
- Enjoy your homemade pickled cucumbers as a tangy and refreshing snack, or as a tasty addition to sandwiches, salads, or charcuterie boards.
