Protein Brownie Recipe:
Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked black beans (drained and rinsed)
  • 1/2 cup natural creamy peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice)
  • 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder (whey or plant-based)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions:
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a food processor, blend the black beans, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  3. Add the protein powder to the mixture and blend until well combined. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a tablespoon of milk (dairy or plant-based) to thin it out slightly.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
  8. Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy your protein-packed brownies!
These brownies are rich in protein from the black beans and protein powder, making them a healthier alternative to traditional brownies while still satisfying your sweet tooth!

I think adding dark chocolate chips or chopped nuts to protein brownies adds a delightful crunch and flavor contrast. 🍪🌰
