Ingredients:
- 1 cup cooked black beans (drained and rinsed)
- 1/2 cup natural creamy peanut butter (or any nut butter of your choice)
- 1/3 cup honey or maple syrup
- 1/4 cup cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate protein powder (whey or plant-based)
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- In a food processor, blend the black beans, peanut butter, honey or maple syrup, cocoa powder, vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
- Add the protein powder to the mixture and blend until well combined. If the mixture is too thick, you can add a tablespoon of milk (dairy or plant-based) to thin it out slightly.
- Fold in the chocolate chips if using.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
- Once cooled, cut into squares and enjoy your protein-packed brownies!
