Hey, foodies! Are you looking for a new flavor of ice cream for your kids? because you don't want them to eat sweets and you want something delicious but healthy for them? I got you! Because I have here the recipe that is healthy and delicious for your kids. This is the pumpkin ice cream, that has pumpkin-flavored with warming spices and the signature sweet (but not too sweet).
Ingredients:
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (canned or homemade)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups cold heavy cream
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Pumpkin Mixture:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, salt, and vanilla extract. Stir until well combined and smooth. Set aside.
2. Whip the Heavy Cream:
- In a separate large mixing bowl, whip the cold heavy cream using a hand mixer or stand mixer on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overmix.
3. Combine the Ingredients:
- Gently fold the sweetened condensed milk into the whipped cream until smooth and well combined.
- Gradually fold in the pumpkin mixture until evenly incorporated.
4. Freeze the Ice Cream:
- Pour the pumpkin ice cream mixture into a loaf pan or any freezer-safe container of your choice. Smooth the top with a spatula to create an even surface.
- Cover the container with plastic wrap or a lid and place it in the freezer.
- Freeze the ice cream for at least 6 hours, or until firm.
5. Serve:
- Once the ice cream is fully frozen, scoop it into bowls or cones and serve immediately.
- Optionally, you can garnish each serving with a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or a dollop of whipped cream for extra flavor.
