- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp dried parsley
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, garlic powder, salt, and baking soda.
- Cut in Butter: Add the cold, cubed butter and cut it into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Add Cheese and Buttermilk: Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese and buttermilk until just combined (don't overmix).
- Scoop and Bake: Drop spoonfuls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Add Garlic Butter: Mix the melted butter, garlic powder, and dried parsley, then brush over the hot biscuits as soon as they come out of the oven.
