- 8 oz linguine or your favorite pasta
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving
- Cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside, reserving some pasta water.
- Season the shrimp with salt and black pepper.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque, about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Stir in the lemon zest, lemon juice, and chopped parsley. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until well coated in the lemon garlic butter sauce. If the sauce is too thick, add a splash of reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
- Serve the lemon garlic butter shrimp pasta hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese.
