a nice snack at home to try!

Ingredients
- For the Squid:
- 1 cup dried shredded squid
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon gochugaru (Korean red pepper flakes, adjust to taste)
- 1 tablespoon sugar (or honey)
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (for garnish)
- 1 green onion (finely chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the Squid:
- If the dried squid is very hard, soak it in warm water for about 10-15 minutes to soften it slightly. Drain and squeeze out excess water.
- Make the Sauce:
- In a bowl, mix together sesame oil, soy sauce, gochugaru, sugar, rice vinegar, and minced garlic until well combined.
- Combine:
- In a large bowl, add the softened shredded squid and pour the sauce over it. Toss well to ensure the squid is evenly coated.
- Marinate:
- Let the mixture sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. For best results, refrigerate for a few hours or overnight.
- Serve:
- Before serving, garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onion. Enjoy as a snack or as part of a banchan (Korean side dish).
Tips
- You can adjust the sweetness and spiciness to your liking.
- This dish pairs well with beer or as part of a Korean meal.
